		<description>You&#039;re absolutely right with this.  The &quot;flattening&quot; of American business has also meant more people to manage and fewer managers.

The result of all of this, however, is what is interesting:  Every employee must become more competent.

That is, more able to handle their own issues.  More able to navigate the corporate maze without someone holding their hand.  More able to do strategic analysis of their own work.

In short, more able to be mini-entrepreneurial forces.

I think I&#039;m going to have to blog on this....thanks for the impetus to thought!
